On the Road with War Horse with Andrew Veenstra, Episode 4: Getting into Costume

October 12th, 2012 | By Broadway.com Staff

What's almost as important as nailing the intricate puppetry in War Horse? Setting the scene with era-appropriate costumes for World War I England. In the latest installment of his video blog, national tour star Andrew Veenstra shows off his early 1900s duds for the camera. Find out what wardrobe supervisor Sue Stepnik has to do in order to keep the cast’s costumes clean (we’re talking at least 10 loads of laundry for every performance!), and see the cast describe the War Horse costumes (how many adjectives for “hot” can they come up with?). Check out the “Super Devon sexy” ensembles, then see War Horse, playing at the Boston Opera House through October 21.
